Heavy duty expansion anchor where the expansion mechanism is nearly the length of the anchor with a nut and flat washer on top. Sleeve anchors are used in situations where there may be voids or unstable areas in the base material. Can be used in solid base materials as well.
Base Materials: Concrete, Masonry. Solid or Hollow.
Other Names: Lok Bolt®, Thunderbolt®
Rod Hanger: This is a type of sleeve anchor with a coupling nut to hang threaded rod. Often referred to as a Thunderbolt®.
Installation: Drill recommended sized hole in base material. Drive the anchor into the hole with a hammer until the nut and washer are flush. Tighten the nut until the anchor is secure.
